Personal Reflections
Reflection 1:
In developing this resource I learned a lot about the sacrament of baptism. The significance of it as the first sacrament of initiation and how it builds the foundation of a Catholics life. Being a child when I took part in receiving this sacrament and celebrating in this ceremony, I was too young to know what was happening and the importance of what was being done and said. I now understand the details and the meaning behind this sacrament especially in relation to its background, symbols and rituals and their significance. I also learned to effectively create a weebly page which can be useful in the future, knowing how to generate and navigate it effectively. This has been a great in depth look at the sacrament of baptism, and all its aspects. -Ashleigh Panaia
Reflection 2:
By participating in Assignment task two I have learnt more details about the sacrament of Baptism. My mind has been opened to the many different aspects of baptism, such as, the background significance, what takes place in the ceremony, the in depth story that represents where baptism was first used and the many different symbols and rituals that accompany the ceremony of Baptism. Attending a Catholic high school we were taught about the idea of Baptism and what takes place during it, however we never got the opportunity to research it and find out more information ourselves. So, being able to research baptism allowed me to learn more about the sacrament. I’ve also learnt a new quick and easy way to develop a website, using the online tool weebly. Weebly allowed us to learn how to create a website and what effective tools to use to grab the consumers attention to read our website and explore the information we have provided for them. Working in pairs for this assignment was effective as it allowed us to work on interpersonal and communication skills as we had to regularly communicate with our partner, our organisational skills was also developed.
